Conveniently located nearby to both the shopping area, and the local school, our centre contains a circular driveway for easy drop-off/pick-up access, as well as disabled car spaces and street parking adjacent to the site. We believe in our children learning the importance of protecting and respecting the environment and we make all attempts to “reduce, recycle and reuse”. We also have a functioning compost bin to strengthen our environmental care. We have recently begun a worm farm and are looking forward to our first “worm juice”. We have a number of herb gardens across all yards and the children and educators grow and tend these. The herbs produced are then used in our cooking. We have veggie patches that are an integral part of our program. We have third generation silky chickens and with the help of the children, we nurture them to ensure we develop an understanding of caring for these cute creatures. They will also work well with the veggie patch to decompose our food scraps and make sure that nothing is wasted.
We strive to provide a warm, happy and secure environment within a high quality educational environment for children and their families that encourages respect for each other and the environment.
We focus on individual children’s well being and their interests and plan an educational program from these. We are passionate about a program that encourages children to develop at their own pace in all areas of development, where the environment is sharing, respectful and where we strive for a successful inclusive environment.
We are enthusiastic in professionally developing our educators in the field of Early Childhood Education, with a view that highly qualified educators need to be at the forefront of education for young children as this leads to positive outcomes for children, building in children resilience and an emerging attitude of autonomy.
We take the time to build strong relationships with our families and the community as this promotes a program that develops in children a sense of belonging and a passion for learning.
We are committed to an ethos of ongoing improvement.
